Geologist / Engineer
Ore base and Project Evaluation in Boliden looking Geologist / Engineer
Ore base and project valuation is a division of Boliden's Engineering Department who are working to develop our reserves. We also work with the valuation of own and external reserves to assess their potential to develop into mines.
Tasks
You will be working on various projects in close cooperation with geologists and engineers at our mine sites, exploration and technology departments. The work can include ore reserve calculation, surface optimization, and other types of calculations. The work is carried out independently and often in project form. The work includes travel both inside and outside Sweden. The position is an indefinite employment contract with Boliden as home base.
Education and Qualifications
You have university degree in mining engineering or geology plus extensive experience. Since much of the work is done with computer tools such as CAD / MicroStation, Data Mine, Whittle, Leapfrog, etc. as is knowledge of these valuable but most of all, you have a desire and an interest in learning and work with this type of tool. As a person, you have the ability to initiate and manage projects and it is important to have good interpersonal skills. The service requires a good knowledge of English, both orally and in writing. Driving license is a requirement.
