Uddevalla has with its location at sea, forest and mountains, a varied and beautiful scenery. The trade is strong and the municipality has a rich industry that is characterized by small business and collaboration. Uddevalla Municipality is in an expansive phase and the years to wait, among other large establishments in the trade and investment to become a maritime center.

Because of parental leave we recruit two Health Inspectors.

You will be employed by the Municipality of Uddevalla. You will belong to the Environment and Urban governed by Environment and City Planning in Uddevalla. It consists of about 50 employees in the environmental, building permits, planning, surveying and mapping and measurement. On the Environmental Department is currently about 20 employees.

Tasks
As Hälsoskyddsinspektör in Uddevalla Municipality, you work mainly with the supervision, advice and information under the Environmental Code and the Radiation Protection Act. You deal with complaints, orders and prohibitions on the basis of the above laws. You respond to complaints and referrals for building permits and plans. Projects and investigative work and sampling / measurement are other tasks that are included in the service.

You will work with the above tasks in Uddevalla Municipality, but the service may involve service in other municipalities. You also interact across departmental and administrative boundaries and with other agencies.

Qualifications

• You should have relevant academic training in environmental health field
• Driving license is a requirement when the service involves field work
• Experience of enforcement work and knowledge of the Environmental Code is an advantage
• Experience of supervision in the health field is an advantage
• Good computer skills are a prerequisite

We are looking for someone who is stable and can handle stressful situations in a calm and objective way. You must have good interpersonal skills and ability to run and organize your own work. We assume you have the ability to express yourself orally and in writing and that you are involved in within your specialist area and are loyal to the rules.
