Unit Manager, Housing and Environment

Environment Department monitors the internal and external environment in Stockholm and works for all in Stockholm to live in a healthy and wholesome environment. Environment Department is also responsible for coordinating the city's energy efficiency and climate work, including clean vehicles in Stockholm.
Department of Health has about 40 employees. We work with the examination and supervision in various areas such as indoor environment, thermal media coverage, schools and kindergartens, radon, noise and heat conditions.
Duties:
Department of Health seeks Head of the Unit for Housing and Environment. For the unit is monitoring the Environmental Code the main activity. We work with targeted enforcement efforts in work areas of waste, property owners, high noise levels, a restaurant and events, and housing matters.
The unit consists of approximately 12 employees and is one of three supervisory units within the Department of Health.
Your tasks:
You will manage and distribute the work so that agreed targets are met, and help the environment and improve health standards for Stockholmers. You will contribute to a continued good working and developing the unit's work through continuous improvement. You have staff, results and financial responsibility for the device. You will act as a sounding board for employees in their daily work.
You will be part of the department's management team and through it contribute to the department's performance and development.
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with scientific training at university and expressed great leadership skills. Experience of managerial work is required. As a person you should be a good communicator and able to see various individuals' characteristics and needs. You should have good organizational and interpersonal skills and be results oriented and driven in the continuous improvement process. You should have good knowledge of current environmental legislation and be familiar with what authority does work.
